NaBloPoMo Day 11: BlogBlogBlogBlogBlog

Where I’ve Been for 11 Days

I’m totally at a loss for what to write about today. Writing a post every day has been fun, but challenging too. The most difficult part is letting go of the urge to pour over a post for hours. I see pretty clearly where my writing needs improvement, and I mull over sentences and paragraphs for way too long. I actually love the tedium of it, but I also have a life to live, a job to work, and, you know, hot dates, like, every night.

Blogging, for most, isn’t about creating perfect, professional writing. It’s about sharing a piece of your life at this very moment. It’s an outlet for creativity, a showcase for unique ideas. And ultimately it’s about connection and communication with an audience.

One frustrating thing about this month of posting every day is that I’ve come across so many new blogs through networking with other bloggers (and via the Blogher website), but have so little time to read them. I can’t wait for December when I can catch up on them.

Here’s some of my recent favorites:

Tummy In A Tizzy (Thanks to Taryn, for sending me this one!)
Beer and Beyond
My Life in Food: A Culinary “Art” Journal
One Love Farm
Crumpets In Camelot
The Good Life
I Found Your Pen

There are others, but I’m running out of time here. You know, hot dates and all.

More food, less pain,

  1. Thanks for the mention Weezy! I actually got something posted today when sick kids were napping. Keep it up, your dedication to this project is giving me a little push to be more prolific.

  2. Oh, marvelous and horrible — even more absorbing blogs to read! I know what you mean about blogging every day and wondering when you'll be able to read everything (tho' my hot dates are all with elementary school kids … in a good way … I'll stop now …)

  3. Tim – I enjoy your posts on beer,so the mention was no trouble at all. Your posts inspire me to choose beer over wine sometimes. It's good to have a balanced alcohol intake, right? Good job on posting, especially with sick kids in the mix!
